7 Miles to Kingston Wedding Photos: Chloe + Taylor What an amazing day everyone had for Chloe and Taylor. As soon as I waked in, the girls were just chillin at the dining room table, drinking, eating, doing make up- just hanging out. The boys were down the road a bit, and had the same vibe. I had plenty of time for preparation, which allowed me to scope out the venue. This was my first time going to 7M2K and WOW, what a location! They have everything you need, and then some. I highly suggest checking them out if you are planning a rustic wedding getaway.
I asked the couple if they can write a little something for this blog: “Chloe and I met on our first day of college. We were both a bit over-excited to start our college lives and joined the same early move-in program. We fell in love pretty quickly, stayed together throughout college, moved to New York together, got a cat and the rest is history. We got engaged in November of 2020. We wanted to wait until things were more calm before we got married, so we didn’t dig into wedding planning too much in 2020. In 2021, we decided we wanted to have a venue booked by the end of the year. We saw a handful of places, but 7M2K had everything we wanted – beautiful rehearsal space, cool dancing area in the barn, great place for the wedding party to stay. We booked it a few days after we saw it.
Choosing a photographer one was one the things we were the pickiest about. We looked at dozens of portfolios and culled the list of photographers we talked to down to a half dozen or so. We chose Jimi because the portfolio was great, but he also made us feel at ease. Other photographers asked painstakingly detailed questions and made us feel like we were auditioning for them. Jimi asked us what we wanted, was confident and offered suggestions on the fly but he always had a vibe of “we’ll make it work, no problem.” We touched base a few times throughout the year, but never felt stressed. On the day of, he was really professional, got every shot we needed quickly and the photos turned out great! We loved our wedding and getting to look back at those photos is a real pleasure.”
