Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill Mansion Wedding Photos: We could not have had a better day for Christen and Richie wedding at Tappan Hill! Not only the weather was perfect, but the laid back attitude from both the bride and groom set the tone of the day. Preparation was so much fun with everyone involved, and when the bride busted out 4″ platform shoes, the girls were dying! We did a first look on the staircase, and from there ran outside for a few portraits of the couple. Once ceremony came, the late day light was just perfect, and all eyes were on Christen as she walked down the aisle with her dad. After some family photos, we all enjoyed the astounding food during cocktail hour that Tappan Hill produces. The rest of the night was non stop dancing and partying! In the couple’s own words:

“Richie and I dated for four years before he proposed and a week after that Covid shut the world down. Wedding planning during the pandemic proved to be challenging. It was hard to get a hold of people and hard to plan for the future when the future seemed so uncertain. Vendors and venues were closing and going out of business and our options became limited. Luckily, after touring a handful of venues we were able to book Tappan Hill for our wedding. We chose Tappan Hill because of its historic charm and its scenic grounds. The venue itself is beautiful and the staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating, but the icing on the cake was that everyone we knew who had gone to an event there raved about the food. They were right, the food was amazing!

We lucked out again with getting Jimi as our photographer. One of our good friends highly recommended him and emphasized his ability to capture that something special in his photography. We scoured his gallery and knew he would be the perfect photographer. Jimi’s photos truly captured the emotions of the evening and did a wonderful job of memorializing one of the biggest days of our lives. We are so happy to have chosen him!”
