Back Yard Mini Wedding: In the times we’re dealing with now, it’s no surprise that weddings either had to postpone or size down. Well, kudos for this couple for not postponing and having a mini back yard wedding! This all took place last fall, and Melissa booked everything pretty much last minute. I first met her years ago when her sister was getting married, and she was the maid of honor. I remember Melissa vividly! She was full of energy, did what she wanted, and certainly had an edge to her. We all had so much fun that day! I was so happy when Melissa contacted me. We could not have asked for a better day! Everyone had such a great time, and it was great seeing so many familiar faces- I love when that happens! Here is the backstory on the bride and groom’s story:
“Fresh into 2019, Tom and I were both looking for something more in life, and both happened to match on Bumble. Phone conversations led to dates, which led to a relationship. Soon after, the relationship was solidified when we moved in together later that year. On the brisk morning of Christmas Eve, Tom concocted a scavenger hunt that led to a proposal. We all celebrated with our families later that day.
After a tranquil start to 2020 in Cape Cod, things quickly went downhill. Attempts to plan a traditional wedding was frivolous. SO, I latched onto Tom’s idea of hosting a wedding twenty feet away in our newly beautified backyard.
Planning our big day was far easier than anticipated! When it came to choosing a photographer, the choice was simple: Jimi. Having photographed my sister’s wedding in 2015, we knew everyone would cherish his eye for a good shot. Also, the vitality and energy he emits is unparalleled…”
