It’s been a while since I’ve been at Buttermilk Falls for a wedding, and lot has changed! Cocktail hour and the receptions are in the barn, and the whole vibe is so much better. Kate and Kyle wedding day was magical. Preparation was in the Riverknoll House, still on the property, and it’s this amazing house with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the Hudson river- just perfect. Boys downstairs, girls upstairs. We then went off for a first look, and when Kate warned me about them being criers, she wasn’t kidding. Immediately afterwards, we all walked around for portraits hitting all the stops. I am so happy with our results, we managed to capture 230 final portraits in less than 30 minutes. The weather was great, the light was soft, but most of all, this couple was just being themselves and enjoying the day. Ceremony was quick and to the point so that the rest of the night they all can party- and they did: dancing, Katie’s signature drink move, cash flying around, great food, Photo Booth fun, and that’s not even including the afterparty! Thanks to Valentina who helped me out, and thank you Katie and Kyle for allowing me to do my thing.
