Diamond Mills Wedding Photos: Nichol and I go way back. We first met through a mutual friend years ago, and I’ve been photographed her kids since they were born. I was so excited to capture her big day! Her wedding at Diamond Mills took place in the Tavern section and was the first time I shot in that room- wow! So nice in there: high ceilings, beautiful decor, private patio, and overlooks the waterfall and bridge. I can’t say how nice that room is.
The day started out with prep on location for both Nichol and her husband to be, Peter. He needed a little coaching with the bow tie, which I’m used to by now and mixed it up a little for the reception. Nichol was in another room with her mom, her kids, her custom made Jimmy Choo shoes, and Caitlyn Wyman doing make up- who of course did an amazing job. At one point her daughter was buttoning up her mom’s dress as the bride was getting her son dressed in a traditional Scottish kilt. They were in perfect light, aligned just right, and I couldn’t have staged it any better. From there, the rest of the day was smooth sailing. Props to the Doug Winters Band, who kept the place rocking all night!
