Hudson Valley Engagement Photos: Cornwall, NY: A few months ago my assistant Steve and I hit the park in my hometown of Cornwall for this amazing engagement session. The weather was perfect, the couple is fantastic, and I couldn’t ask for a better day. I go there quite often, and probably still would even if I didn’t live less than a mile away. I asked the bride to be Nicole if she wanted to add some text to this blog, so here it is. Thank you so much Nicole for your kind words, and I’m so looking forward to your wedding!
“My fiancé proposed to me December 2019… Little did we know what 2020 had in store. I’m the planner in the relationship so after the holidays I cracked down and booked the “big” things: venue, photographer, and DJ. When I stalked J.Ferrara’s photography on social media and on his website – what stood out to me was his ability to capture the energy of candid moments, but also get the good-old-fashion shots as well. We booked him at our first meeting!
We decided to finally do our engagement shoot in September in Cornwall not to far from Jimi’s studio. Being from Queens it was so nice to get out and be in a beautiful open space. Jimi brought along an assistant and for an hour we posed for pictures and he also took some candids. We had so much fun “posing” and following his instructions. We didn’t see many shots and at the end, my fiancé and I looked at each other and said, “I think that went well…?” A week later we received the shots and they were AMAZING!
There are certain people that just jive… and Jimi, he jives. We are so excited that he will be there to capture our wedding day and jive right along with us!”
