I asked the bride to write a little bit for this blog: “Teddy and I met on a blind date and we went golfing. Had I known I was about to golf with my future husband I would have practiced my swing more! We hit it off and in what felt like a blink of an eye, we were engaged searching for wedding venues. When searching for a venue, we wanted somewhere welcoming with a reputation for great service. Having worked in Hudson Valley nonprofits for over 15 years, I’ve attended thousands of successful events at Bonura Hospitality locations. From the moment I step foot inside the Grandview, I knew there was nowhere else we had to look. They made us feel like we were the only couple getting married! They listened, shared creative ideas, and we left with excitement! Soon after, planning was in full swing and our top priority was booking a photographer. This was personal for me—at a family wedding years ago, no professional photographer was hired. Guests took some photos here and there, but so many special moments went uncaptured. Some of these family members are no longer with us, and I’ve often wished I had more photos from that day. I wasn’t going to let that happen for our wedding.
When we looked for a photographer, I wanted someone with experience who made us feel comfortable – after all we were to spend the most important day of our lives with them!
