This bride and groom came in for a studio engagement session six months ago, and right off the bat said they were not very comfortable in front of the camera. Our simple studio shoot was nothing but all smiles and laughs, and I said to them, “you’re crazy, you two are great in front of the camera!” So when the wedding day came, they definitely remembered what I said.
The couple rented a house nearby Helsinki, which is a very cool location, where they were staying the weekend along with some family. Girls upstairs, boys downstairs, with first look in the middle. From there we all walked over to the courthouse in Hudson where we shot most of the portraits. Once we were back at Helsinki, we had a very quick ceremony, then right to the party! Meghan and Matt loves bars (as I do as well) and wanted their wedding to be like a dressed up night at the bar- and it was exactly that. It was a very memorable night! It was my birthday that day, and I personally want to thank them for the cupcake at the end of the night. I’ve worked many weddings on October 6th, and this was a first 🙂
