Hudson Valley Wedding at The Hill: If you’re looking to do a rustic barn wedding in the Hudson Valley, you have to check out The Hill in Hudson NY. They have everything you need, and it’s completely private. It was the perfect location for Kayleigh and David. I met Kayleigh’s dad at one of my photography workshops a few years ago, and remembered how much he’s into photography. When he contacted me about the wedding, I was so excited! The day couldn’t have been better, and in Kayleigh’s own words, she says, ” When David and I thought about where to get married, we wanted something that was simple and beautiful, something that would feel natural enough to embody who we are as a couple. When we went and visited The Hill, we both knew it was the perfect venue. The beauty of the grounds and structures felt so perfect to us. Once we solidified the decision to get married there, we knew we needed someone who would capture our pure joy, love, and excitement on our day, but also capture the beauty of The Hill. Our search for a photographer didn’t take too long. When we sat down with Jimi in his studio and he showed us his work, David and I were so impressed. Every single image was just as beautiful as the one before it. David and I were a bit nervous because we are not great at posing for pictures (our favorites are candids), but through talking with Jimi we realized that he didn’t just capture the moments in those photographs, but he envisioned them and then created them. This was proven true when we got the photos from our wedding. We are obsessed with how our pictures came out. Our favorite one is the sunset poking through the tress in the back of the barn- it only took Jimi t a total of 3 minutes to get David and I together, place us, and create that gorgeous picture. Jimi gave us everything we wanted; he captured David and I in our natural state, and made sure the beauty of the environment around us was captured too. He was the perfect photographer for our perfect day…”
