London Wedding: Christina + Dan: I could not have asked for a better wedding to end this year! it was January when Christina and Dan booked me for their two part wedding: the first one in Jersey City and a small restaurant called Satis, then part two at Bentley’s Oyster Bar in the heart of London Soho. I’ve never been to England, so of course Lauren and I made a mini trip built around the wedding. It was also ALL we talked about all year! Dan is from London, so this dual wedding made total sense.

We booked a great little hotel in Soho called Mimi’s, right int the middle of all the cool spots. For the wedding day itself, we decided to do a portrait session during the day, then take a break before the reception. We all decided it would be best to get just one cab and drive us around to all the spots rather than multiple ones. The first cab we hailed was absolutely perfect! It was all electric and brand new, but still looked classic. It had plenty of space for seating, and a huge sunroof. The sky was clear, temperature was in the mid 40’s, and the sun was low in the sky- the best day of that week.

After our photo shoot, Lauren and I found a fantastic pub for a pint and meat pies, then headed back to Mimi’s to get ready. Dinner at the infamous Bentley’s was everything we hoped for: outstanding oysters, classic British decor, and the best scallops we ever had. The couple had a small ceremony in the private room that was all ours for the night, and as you can see- more laughs. The night was very special: good drinks, awesome food, great company, some toasts, a few stories, and smiles all around. Everyone had the best time- including us. Thank you so much Christina and Dan for this spectacular opportunity, and the wedding of my career!
