Mohonk Proposal Photos: Since 2003, I’ve been capturing engagements, weddings, families, couples, and corporate events at Mohonk Mountain House. A growing number of proposals have come my way, and it’s always such an honor to photograph them! It’s the very moment a couple gets engaged and starts the wedding planning. It’s such a surreal experience to feel the energy circulating, and the amazement in everyone witnessing the couple.
Mohonk’s proposal highlights led me to Skytop, Cope’s Lookout, Eagle Cliff, Bert’s Overlook, the Dock, and many other various locations and summer houses with stunning views.
Capturing a proposal is unlike anything else, because you only get one chance. I love that opportunity and the responsibility because you can never recreate the raw emotion from the “will you marry me?” I make certain that I’m on my toes, and more than ready. I have my own method that has never failed, is absolutely believable, and the element of surprise remains perfectly intact.
There is so many great stories from all my sessions which are far too expansive to write out, but I’m always open for something different next time. I am happy to collaborate and get creative to make the experience special and unique for each couple. All of the photos below are 100% real with zero reenactments.
