The Grandview Wedding Photos: Couldn’t have asked for a better day- maybe a little less windy, but that did yield to some very cool veil blowing in the wind shots! Seriously though everyone at Ashley and Kevin’s wedding was so happy for them. I shot their engagement shoot at the Cornwall Donahue Park last summer and knew they were gonna kill it on their wedding day.
I asked the happy couple to say a few words: “Kevin and I met in September of 2019 through the dating app Bumble. We actually had our first date along the Hudson River so it’s fitting that we ended up getting married along that same river nearly 5 years later! After getting engaged in February 2023 we started to look for wedding venues. We visited a few different places in New York and Connecticut and enjoyed envisioning what our wedding day might look like. We chose the Grandview as our wedding venue because of its amazing view, great reviews and delicious food. I then started the search for a local wedding photographer and J.Ferrara Photography came up. I quickly became a fan of his style and editing. When we met with him, we felt like he had the professional experience we needed to make us feel at ease. All of our other vendors fell into place throughout the next year and we are so grateful for all of them. Our wedding day was a beautiful day with each other and our family and friends and I love being reminded of it when I look at our wedding photos!”
