Waveny House Wedding: I’m very grateful that I can say “what a wedding!” to all of my couples, and this one was certainly up there. You can’t help but smile whenever you see this groom, because that’s ALL he does. The bride was the same as well, and that combination is the best! The Waveny House is one of those venues unlike any other. The grounds are amazing, the rooms are huge, and it’s totally private.
In Brooke’s words herself: “The first decision that Ahmed and I made in the wedding planning process was that every decision we made would be positive and filled with love. It was our wedding after all, and we were blessed to be able to plan a day of celebration for our family and friends. All the energy that went into it was going to be filled with joy! One of our early decisions for the wedding was our photographer. We were stunned by a previous wedding gallery of Jimi’s from a venue similar to ours. We could just feel the joy and love from the story of his photos and knew that he would be able to capture our day. All was confirmed after our first call with Jimi…he was the one! The ceremony and reception all took place at Waveny House, a gorgeous, town owned, Tudor mansion in New Canaan, CT with 300 acres of parks and walking trails. It’s quite a special place to the Flowers family, and it was where I took Ahmed, the first time he visited home and met my family. That day in 2015, we sat adjacent to the house, on a bench beneath a stunning red leafed tree, taking in the sprawling lawn and blue sky before us. It was picture perfect. Seven years later we were blessed to be taking wedding photos under that very same tree and blue sky. It was truly the most incredible day of our lives, and what an honor it was to have Jimi capture it all…”
