Exactly a year ago, Aly and Luke came in studio for their engagement session, and for whatever reason ended up being one of my favorite studio couple shoots of all time. A lot of it has to do with the magic they have as a couple (and a pretty cool sweater Aly was wearing). I knew then their wedding day was going to be one for the records, and was it ever!
Their wedding all took place at the relatively new venue that is Apple Greens Golf Course. It’s very nice there! Lots of space, open fields, privacy, and a refurbished barn that looks amazing. We did a first look down by the pond and mini waterfall which was exactly what I hoped for: big smiles, some tears, and a lot of emotion. We all witnessed Luke photograph his new bride with his 35mm film camera… I can relate, I did the same thing with my wife. Ceremony took place on top of the hill overlooking seemingly the entire Hudson Valley. The view is fantastic up there. A few more tears from the crowd, thanks to the minister who did a very memorable job.
Onto the reception, the decor was rustic and amazing flowers by Flowers by David– who always does a great job! As sunny as the day was, a bit of chill hit the air, which was fine- that just made everyone huddle around the heaters. We had that killer late day sun which we took advantage of, and I’m glad we did. Cocktail hour was all outside, and once announced, the party began! Dave from JTD Productions yet again did great job- good to see you again Dave!
A first time for me at this wedding: when Aly tossed her bouquet, it got stuck in the tapestry… So, she used my monopod to knock it down! Lots of kisses with these two, and with that here are my favorites from a great couple who everyone is so happy for. Love you guys- hope to see you again soon!
