Best of Hudson Valley Weddings 2022: From proposals, to engagements, to weddings, to lifestyles, and all the headshots and portraits in between, it’s been an amazing year at J.Ferrara Photography Inc! It really is an honor to be first row for so many moments, and that fact that this is my job still humbles me.
This year led me to such locations as Mohonk, Tappan Hill, The Grandview, Villa Venezia, The Powelton Club, Mt Gulian, Kittle House, The Davenport, FEAST at Round Hill, West Point, 7 Miles to Kingston, The Barn at Villa Venezia, Mountainville Manor, Clemson Brewery, VIP Country Club, Waveny House, Brotherhood Winery, the Waterview, other random restaurants, a few other barns here and there. I was beyond excited to end the year with a wedding in London at the infamous Bentley’s Oyster Bar! It was my fist time there, and my partner Lauren and I made a mini trip out of it.
I’m so fortunate I’m given the opportunity photograph the best moments of peoples’ lives, and I really mean that. I not only get to witness iconic memories as they happen, but to capture it and make those images timeless. Thank you to everyone who trusted me to capture their memories that will last for generations! Here are just some of my favorites from 2022:
I want to thank everyone I met and photographed. I have so many great memories this year alone: a groom loosing his ring at the reception; stage diving; splits; and of course all the tears and laughs along the way. I am also very happy to announce that this year is officially my 20th year doing photography professionally. In 2003 I officially started my business. Looking back, I really don’t know what took me so long! I was ALWAYS into photography since I was a kid. I remember the day vividly when I first picked up a SLR camera, looked through the lens,and was hooked immediately. Since then a camera was always a part of my life.
